I am excited for new puppy Rook to finally be home tomorrow, but am sad and concerned about Juneau. He had 6 seizures over an 18 hour period that I know of. Vet says finally time to try a third med. Phenobarbital, Keppra and now Toprimax. Let's hope this is the last med, although specialist says it could take up to five different! Good grief. Anyone with suggestions on epilepsy treatment? We already raw feed.

That's all "they" choose to do. Really? Still? If you must then you must at least admit that you are guilty of the same issues and then move on. Sigh.

Too Funny

Well, I always suspected Juneau had a screw loose besides his epilepsy and neurons firing off... He truly is a silly dog. So he, being a male dog, has yet to ever lift a back leg when urinating. He still to this day squats like a female. Well the other morning before his breakfast I let him out to go, as we do every morning. He squatted as normal, but lifted a leg also... his front left paw! He held it that way the entire time until he was finished. Was quite odd looking and put a great BIG smile on my face! I sure wish I would have had the time to snap a photo as it was truly comical.

Tasha / Moose Puppies

I see that Juneau will be a new big brother soon to an upcoming litter due from his breeding kennel. Please, if purchasing a puppy from this litter make certain to obtain puppy insurance. Medication for Juneau costs approximately $250/month without insurance. According to experts there is a 25% possibility of one of these pups inheriting epilepsy as Juneau did. Others out of this litter will likely be carriers, so if you intend on breeding please be aware that you too could pass along this heart breaking disease. :( Testing to rule out other reasons for your dogs seizures run around $2000+ and bi-annual blood work ups over $200 per. Insurance will definately help you with these costs as long as you sign up for them prior to any health issues surfacing.

Also a quick note: Juneau is from RPK's very first Tamaskan litter out of Tasha and Moose (litter of ten). He was born in December of 2007, not 2006 as RPK advertises.

Hi everyone.

As some of you may have already seen, I am creating a photo album of dogs related to Juneau. Review Juneau's pedigree in the Aatu Tamaskan section of my website to see if our dogs are related. Then if you would like to contribute a photo of your beloved pet just send me a contact indicating so. I'll get back in touch with you as soon as I can with an email address to forward them to. I don't care if you are a sibling, half sibling, uncle or great great grandmother, a Tamaskan, Utonagan or Northern Inuit... all relatives welcome!!! Thank you in advance for your photos!

Snap! I have been banned. For no apparent reason I may add. I can only assume that because I post the truth, they can't handle it! I haven't posted anything lately that has been negative or they have felt the need to delete, as so many of my posts have been.

If you would like to know the kinds of things they are deleting from the general public they would include:

Information I posted in reference to Juneau's epilepsy coming from his Tamaskan lineage... Information on related Tamaskan dogs having Epilepsy, Addisons and VWD... Information that I posted in reference to several now Tamaskans that were born Utonagans... these same Utonagans are being bred and litters being sold as Tamaskans... information that I posted calling out certain members in lies... I'm sure there were others, but you get the picture.

These are just some of the truths they will try to hide, but don't believe me... Question them, research them and draw your own conclusions. This is how I came to know all the facts I know.
